Elan Chalon moved up to a 4-4 after beating Neptunas Klaipeda 86-81. This was the second loss in a row for Neptunas as they now stand at a 5-3 record.
The Key: The offensive festival in the first half of the game propelled Chalon to the win. The French team nailed 50 points in that period allowing visitors to score 38.
The Lithuanians found the way to get back into the game down the last stretch after trailing 12 in the first half.. They were able to overtake the lead 79-78 with 3 minutes left on the clock but didn’t have enough energy to hold onto that lead. Neptunas went cold in the decisive moments of the match and that cost them in the end.
The Star: Pierre-Antoine Gillet had a great game tonight for the hosts. He was perfect from the three-point territory (4/4) finishing the game with 15 points adding 8 rebounds as well.
Not Enough: Juan Palacios had 18 points and 8 boards for Neptunas, but couldn’t prevent the loss.
