EWE Baskets Oldenburg enjoyed an easy victory in Krasnoyarsk over Enisey 79 – 53. The Germans jumped to a 5-3 record in their first Basketball Champions League game without Bryon Allen while the Russian team stays with just two victories.
Rasid Mahalbasic paced Oldenburg in the first half with 10 points and 5 rebounds and they took a 40 – 31 lead at the break.
The key: The guests were flirting with α double-digit lead and Oldenburg decided the game in the third quarter with a 19 – 9 run. Nothing changed in the fourth quarter with Enisey having troubles to score. Only Alexandr Gudumak reached 10 points for the hosts.
The star: Rickey Paulding led all scorers with 19 points while Mahalbasic registered his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
