Landesberg and Brown made the difference for Estudiantes

Estudiantes escaped from Poland with its fifth win in Basketball Champions League.

Movistar Estudiantes recorded its fifth win this season as they beat Rosa Radom on the road 84 – 77 in a fun-to-watch game. The Polish remain with just one win in Group C.

Both teams combined for 17 three-pointers in the first half to make it a high scoring game. Rosa Radom was leading by two points after 20 minutes played (49 – 51).

Alec Brown and Sylven Landesberg couldn’t miss in the third quarter. Thanks to a 13 – o run Estudiantes built a 67 – 57 lead (28′) but the hosts come back with five minutes left (74 – 75). Despite the comeback, Landesberg decided the game in the final plays.

Kevin Punter led the Polish in scoring with 18 points while Patrick Auda added 15.

The key: After receiving 51 points in the first half, Estudiantes allowed just 26 in the second. Rosa Radom didn’t score a single three-pointer after the break.

The star: Landesberg paced the winners with 26 points. Brown also contributed to the victory with 18 points and 7 boards.
