Ludwigsburg edges Neptunas on the road

MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg moved up to an 8-2 record after beating Neptunas Klaipeda on the road 87 – 71. The Lithuanian team fell for the third time in four games and now stands at a 6-4 record.

After a close first quarter (22 – 23), the Germans improved considerably. The hosts scored just 10 points and Ludwigsburg took a 42 – 33 at the break. Dwayne Evans safely led the visiting team and nothing changed in the second half.

Neptunas couldn’t cut the deficit to single digits and the guests enjoyed a comfortable win.

The key: The bench made the difference in the game. Ludwigsburg’s substitutes scored 50 points.

The star: Evans led the winners in scoring with 15 points and Adika Peter-McNeally added 14.

Renaldas Seibutis had 15 points for Neptunas but he struggled with his shooting (3-of-11 from the field).
