PAOK is still alive in Group B after defeating Sikeliarchivi Capo d’Orlando in Thessaloniki 79 – 61. The Greeks got their fourth win in ten games in the competition while Orlandina fell to a 2-8 record.
The Italian squad reached its biggest lead of the game in the second quarter (18 – 24, 14′) but PAOK’s reaction turned the match upside down. The hosts were unstoppable and they reached a 6-point advantage at the break (41 – 35).
The key: PAOK finished business in the third quarter. The Greek team went into a 10-0 run starting the second half and they maintained the difference until the end of the game.
Team effort: Linos Chrysikopoulos and Thodoris Zaras finished with 13 points apiece while Dimitris Katsivelis contributed with 10 points and 7 assists for PAOK.
Mirza Alibegovic scored 14 points for the guests.
