Nanterre 92 moved up to a 7-3 record in the Basketball Champions League after beating Aris at home easily 91-63. With this win, the French team is now sharing the first position of the Group D along with Besiktas Sompo Japan and CEZ Nymburk.
It was a one-way situation from the start as the host took a 27-14 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. By the end of the first half Nanterre was up by 18 points (48-30).
Things didn’t change after the break as the Greeks couldn’t achieve a comeback. Nanterre had no problems finishing the game in style recording another victory in a fashionable way.
The Key: Nanterre was converting their two-point shots at a high rate as they were 17/28 from two-point territory tonight.
The Stars: Alade Aminu had 18 points, Lahaou Konate finished the game with 13 and Terran Petteway had 14.
Gary Bell was trying to wake up the Greeks with 15 points and 7 boards, but his teammates didn’t follow him.
With this loss, Aris falls to a 4-6 record in the Basketball Champions League.
