UCAM Murcia stays strong in Group A after defeating Dinamo Sassari on the road 94 – 88. The Spaniards won their fourth game in a row and improved to a 6-4 record, two wins ahead of the Italians. Sassari won the first match-up by 5 points.
After a great second quarter, Ibon Navarro’s men reached a 4-point lead (42 – 38). Murcia continued increasing the advantage in the third quarter (67 – 55) but Sassari had a lot to say.
The hosts started the last period with a 9-0 run that made the game close again.
The key: Sassari erased an 18-point lead (62 – 44, 26′) but Clevin Hannah, who struggled for three quarters, dropped to clutch three-pointers that closed the game for the visiting team.
The star: Hannah had an amazing game with 21 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Brad Oleson added 19 points and Sadiel Rojas contributed with a double-double (12 p. 11 r.).
Scott Bamforth finished with 18 points (5 three-pointers) and 4 assists for Sassari.
