AS Monaco couldn’t be denied not even after 11 weeks of action. They are still perfect as they had no real problems taking down Dinamo Sassari 87-55 at home improving their record to 11-0.
After the first ten minutes of the game, it looked like the Italians could test Monaco. They were trailing only by one point (18-17) and their zone defense created issues for the hosts.
The Key: In the second quarter Monaco showed why they are unbeaten. They were simply unstoppable as they beat the Italians in that period 24-8.
The halftime break couldn’t save Dinamo from the hosts as their dominance continued in the second half. The team coached by Zvezdan Mitrovic was on fire in the third quarter scoring 33 points while allowing only 15.
The Stars: Christopher Evans shined with an almost perfect game, missing only one shot from the field (10/11). He finished the night with 23 points followed by Elmedin Kikanovic’s 18 points.
Darko Planinic had the game-high for the losing side, but his 11 points didn’t mean much for Sassari. This was a third straight loss for Dinamo Sassari as they now fall to a 4-7 record.
