Pinar Karsiyaka is back to wins after taking down UNET Holon on the road 95-93. It was the absolute comeback victory for Turks as they were trailing even by 20 points.
The Key: With four minutes remaining in the last quarter, the teams were tied at 84-84. Both D.J. Kennedy and Jarrod Jones converted their free throws when the game was on the line and managed to escape with the win.
The hosts were off to the good start as they scored 33 points in first ten minutes of action. After being down by seven (55-48) in the first half, the Turkish team managed to bounce back and ultimately win the game.
The Stars: Jones finished the game with 19 points and Kennedy recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Not enough: Glen Rice Jr was unstoppable tonight scoring 30 points for Holon. However, he couldn’t prevent a loss. With this win, Karsiyaka improved to a 7-4 record, while Holon sinks to 3-8.
