Oostende beat Nanterre 92 (73 – 60) after an impressive third quarter. The French side fell to a 7 -4 record and they will have to wait for at least one more week in order to qualify while the Belgians (5-6) are still alive after tying Avellino in the standings.

Terran Petteway’s 14 points led Nanterre to a 37 – 31 lead at the half despite the poor shooting performance but it was not enough.

The key: Oostende had a rocking entrance in the second half with 24 – 3 run and a 58 – 48 lead at the end of the third. The guests tried to react but a 13 – 2 run in the last quarter gave the win to the Belgian champs.

The star: Jean Salumu had a game-high 23 points, 11 of them in the crucial third quarter. Vladimir Mihailovic also ended in double figures with 10 points.
