MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg recorded their third straight victory in the Basketball Champions League. They prevailed over Elan Chalon on the road 70-56 jumping to a 10-2 record confirming their spot in the playoff.
The Key: Easy points in transition are always good. The French team turned the ball 8 times in the first quarter and Ludwigsburg used that. They scored 10 points after the fastbreaks in the first quarter.
The visiting squad built a rock-solid defence, especially in the first half. They allowed hosts to score only 26 points in the first 20 minutes of the game. They built 35-26 lead and Elan couldn’t recover after it.
The Star: Elgin Cook almost grabbed a double-double with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side.
Not enough: Jeremy Nzeulie had game-high 16 points, but couldn’t prevent the loss tonight.
With this loss Chalon now standing on a 5-7 record.
