In a close high-paced game Dinamo Sassari beat UNET Holon on the road 103-92.
With this win, the Italians improved to a 6-7 record, but it doesn’t mean much to them as they were already out of the Play-Offs race.
The Stars: Darko Planinic had 20 points and 3 rebounds, Levi Randolph added 19 points while Dyshawn Pierre had strong all-around performance. He had 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
Both teams were on fire during the first half as Dinamo was up by 2 points (52-50). The visiting squad hold on that lead in the second part of the game and ultimately won the game.
The Key: Great shooting from the three-point arc pushed Dinamo to the victory. They were 8/16 from the downtown making Holon’s defence sweating all night.
Not enough: The experience forward Guy Pnini nailed 20 points and added 4 boards for the hosts, but that didn’t cut it.
With this loss, Holon falls to a 3-10 record in the Basketball Champions League.
