CEZ Nymburk already booked their tickets for the Basketball Champions League playoffs last week. However, that didn’t stop them from winning another game as they beat Oostende on the road 79-73.
The Key: No better way to start the game than building a 12-point lead after the first quarter. The visiting squad won the first ten minutes of action 26-14 and hold onto that lead until the end.
The hosts tried to make this game interesting, but they simply didn’t have enough weapons to fight tonight. Despite winning the last period 26-20 they fall short and ultimately lost the game and fall to a 5-8 record.
The Stars: Dardan Berisha got CEZ Nymburk going early on as he nailed 11 of their first 14 points. He finished the game with 14 points while Kendrick Ray had 15. Petr Benda was one rebound away from the double-double game as he scored 10 points and grabbed 9 boards.
Jean Salumu’s game-high 17-point effort was not enough for the hosts tonight.
With this win, Nymburk are standing 9-4 record as they moved up to the second position in Group D.
