Yakuba Ouattara is once again a part of AS Monaco Basket, according to the club’s official website. He arrived on Thursday night to Monaco and must pass the physical and medical exams prior to his signature. He already had some success with the club, during his second season at Monaco, Ouattara was named a French Pro A All-Star and helped Monaco win the Leaders Cup.

Last summer he signed a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets and played only one game in the G-League (14 points) before being forced to stay away from the floor because of an injury. After the recovery, he averaged 7.4 points in 16 minutes of play.

Under the regulations of the French League, Yakuba Ouattara, at this stage of the season, can only be registered in the squad as a medical freelancer. His contract can only be formalized after the decision of the club about the injured player who will be replaced.

Monaco Basket awaits the 2nd Leg of the Basketball Champions League quarterfinals against Banvit while being safe at the first place in PRO A French League.
