Just before entering the battle of the Basketball Champions League Final Four, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg swingman Thomas Walkup is pretty certain about his team’s goals in the tournament.
“We’re coming here with the mindset to win this thing,” Walkup told Eurohoops. “That’s what we’re here to do. It’s a business trip for us.”
This is the debut experience for 25-year-old Walkup in Europe and it’s combined with his first continental Final Four challenge. The American swingman feels particularly delighted ahead of the tournament, also because his team came a long way throughout the season.
“Very excited to be here. Super blessed to be here in this spot, the Final Four. We came all the way for the qualification rounds. We’ve been through a lot with this team. We’re really excited to be able here and be ready to compete.”
