As initially reported on Wednesday, Dimitris Giannakopoulos and FIBA’s Patrick Baumann are meeting in Athens this afternoon to discuss the possibility of Panathinaikos joining the Basketball Champions League.
This meeting comes hours after EuroLeague teams’ one, where Giannakopoulos’ behavior was condemned by all clubs.
As for this EuroLeague announcement, the Greens’ sources mention that it was surprising to Giannakopoulos, as there are allegedly meetings to be held with several of these teams ahead of the Belgrade Final Four.
