The 25-year-old American shooting guard Marcus Thornton will be a part of Banvit’s roster for the upcoming season, the club announced.
Thornton was initially selected as the 45th overall pick by the Celtics in the 2015 NBA Draft making him the first player coming from William & Mary college to be taken in the modern draft format.
After playing in Australia and Italy, Thornton joined Canton Charges in the G-League last season averaging 18.8 points, 3.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game. Despite signing a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers he didn’t get a chance to play.
