Brose Bamberg announced that it has terminated the contract of Serbian forward Luka Mitrovic, following a mutual agreement between the club and the player. Mitrovic’s contract was set to expire in 2020.
Mitrovic, 25, signed with Brose Bamberg in 2017 following a long stint with Crvena Zvezda, where he also served as the team’s captain. With Bamberg, Mitrovic averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds over 13:43 minutes per game, in 16 EuroLeague matches, plus 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds in 13 minutes per game in the German BBL in 2017-2018.
On June 15, Mitrovic underwent a knee surgery in Germany. According to the rehabilitation timeframe, he’s expected to return to action around mid-October.
