Lietkabelis has further strengthened their roster for the upcoming season by signing Mindaugas Kupsas and bringing Paulius Valinskas on a loan from Zalgiris, the club announced.
Kupsas is returning to the club as he played with Lietkabelis back in the 2012-13 season. The 27-year old center spent last season with Juventus Utena becoming the Lithuanian League third most valuable player and one of his best performances was against his new team against which he posted a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. In Basketball Champions League he averaged 10.5 points and 4.6 rebounds.
Searching for more playing time, from Zalgiris arrives the 22-year-old guard Valiuskas. The young player gained some EuroLeague experience last season but his most memorable one was certainly Round 5 versus CSKA Moscow when he scored three crucial shots from behind the arc for the win.
