Prior reports have been confirmed as Sidigas Avellino is expected to announce the acquisition of Norris Cole tomorrow (17/8), according to the Sportchannel214 – the local TV station of Avellino.
The former NBA champion finished the 2017-18 season with Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv and despite a strong first year in Europe, he remained a free agent during the summer.
Last season, the 29-year-old guard averaged 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals in 28 EuroLeague games while also helping Maccabi win the Israeli League Championship.
This signing will make a significant impact on the Italian club’s playstyle and Avellino has automatically become one of the teams to watch both in the Italian league and in the Basketball Champions League.
