Croatian forward/center Ivan Buva is in advanced talks with Besiktas for a one-year deal, according to Eurohoops sources.
Besiktas wants to bring Buva back to Istanbul following the expiration of the player’s two-month contract with Chinese Second Division team Anhui Wenyi. Buva spent the majority 2017-2018 in Turkey with Istanbul Buyuksehir, before signing a short-term deal with Spanish side Valencia in March.
Buva, 27, was among the 2017-2018 Turkish League standouts, averaging 18 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 27 minutes per game.
If Buva joins Besiktas then he will compete in next season’s Basketball Champions League, apart from the Turkish BSL.
