Hapoel Jerusalem announced that Amare Stoudemire is back with the team. This will be Stoudemire’s second term with the Israeli club following his stint in 2016-2017.
Stoudemire’s previous run with Hapoel had been crowned with great success since he helped the club win the Israeli Winner League and Israeli League Cup titles. The six-time NBA All-Star also led Hapoel to the EuroCup Semifinals by averaging 12.8 points, 6.6 rebounds per game and being named to the competition’s All-Second Team.
Almost a year ago, Stoudemire announced his retirement from basketball but earlier this summer, he spoke about returning to action. Something which will take place with Hapoel.
In 2018-2019, Hapoel, and Stoudemire, will participate in the Basketball Champions League, apart from the Israeli domestic competitions.
