Umana Reyer Venezia announced the deal with 31 years old big man Gasper Vidmar. The Slovenian center is leaving Banvit after three seasons and a Basketball Champions League final in 2017.
Vidmar has a long career around Europe, playing for Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Darussafaka and Olimpija Ljubljana, while he remains a key member of the Slovenian national team. He was the starting center in the roster that won Eurobasket 2017.
Last season he averaged 8.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in the Turkish BSL and also 12.2 points and 6,2 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League.
