Opava had a good start and then managed to stop Nanterre’s comeback effort recording a 74-67 home win in Group B of Basketball Champions League.
The hosts were off to a good first quarter (28-18) and eventually went on the halftime rest with a 45-32 lead. However, the locker room talk seemed to help Nanterre which made a comeback closing the gap to just two points (55-53). Opava didn’t allow an upset as they regained control creating once again a double-digit lead (70-60) and securing the game.
Jakub Sirina scored 15 points for the victors in addition to Radim Klecka’s 14. For Nanterre, Julian Gamble scored 14 in addition to Lahaou Konate’s 12 points.
