Behind the trio of Ra`Shad James (21 p.), Joshua Mayo (20 p.) and Bojan Subotic (18 p.), Bonn managed to hold on for the 100-95 win over PAOK on the road for Group B of the Basketball Champions League.
Bonn opened the game with a 33-23 lead in the first quarter and despite the effort made by the hosts, the guests kept their lead until the end. For the next three periods, the game was balanced, however, that was not enough for the Greeks.
PAOK cut the lead of Bonn twice to two points, even made it a four-point game (99-95) with 13 seconds left, but couldn’t do much more. Linos Chrysikopoulos with 19 points was the top scorer of the hosts who now have a 0-2 record, while Bonn registered its first win (1-1) for the Basketball Champions League season.
