Segafredo Virtus Bologna played a perfect second quarter and routed Oostende 89-60 in Day 2 of Basketball Champions League. The Italian team improved to 2-0 with this win while Oostende suffered another loss (0-2) in Group D.
Oostende held their ground for the first ten minutes (22-21) but Bologna completely dominated the second period (22-3) and went on the break with an 18-points lead (43-25).
The Italians kept the momentum after the break and kept increasing the lead. They were up by as much as 33 points during the third quarter (70-37) and left no chance for a comeback to the opponent safely bringing the game to the end.
Brian Qvale led the victors with 15 points while Amath M’Baye scored 14. On the other side, Yannick Desiron was the only double-digit scorer with ten points.
