Promitheas Patras has a perfect 3-0 record in Group D of the Basketball Champions League, after getting one more road win, this time against medi Bayreuth with the final score being 75-70.
The hosts cut the lead to three points (73-70) with 30 seconds left in the game thanks to a goal-foul by Hassan Martin. Leonidas Kaselakis who scored in total 17 points, answered with two free throws and that was practically the end of the game. Steve Wachalski missed a three, which could have changed only the final score and not the result.
Tony Meier (photo) scored 17 points in 17 minutes of action for the winners who never lost the lead throughout the game and even had a 16 points advantage (46-30) at the start of the second half.
