Segafredo Virtus Bologna once again made a statement with an easy win, this time around by beating Petrol Olimpija 92-61 on Day 3 of Basketball Champions League. With this victory, the Italian team improved to 3-0 while Olimpija still waits for their first win (0-3) in Group D.
Kevin Punter scored 18 points for the victors followed by David Cournooh’s 14. On the other side, Jan Span was the only double-digit scorer with tie-high 18 points.
Although Olimpija had an early 8-2 lead, Bologna quickly took over and already at halftime had a 46-27 lead. They kept increasing the advantage leaving no chance for a comeback to the hosts.
