Sometimes the guests simply can’t keep up and that’s the story of Le Mans’ win (91-76) over Ventspils in Group A of the Basketball Champions League.
Behind a stellar game by Antoine Eito who scored 20 points taking just eight shots and making six, five of them threes, the hosts led by 11 at halftime (46-35) and by 19 (89-71) just before the end of the game.
Ventspils managed to make it a five-point game (63-58) at the start of the last period, but couldn’t do much more. Valentin Bigote with 17 points made sure of that with big shots down the stretch. Jonathan Arledge with 22 points tried his best for the guests.
