Lietkabelis Panevezys announced the deal with 42-year-old Nenad Canak who recently left Partizan. The Serb coach replaces Gintaras Kadziulis.
“Canak is a rising coach and he has already proved this by winning under quite difficult conditions. It is very important to me that he is young. Nenad is highly motivated because this is his first job abroad. The new head coach will reveal the limits of the current composition of Lietkabelis. Having revealed the best qualities of all the players, we will be able to see better, where the roster needs to be strengthened so that we can achieve the goals set for the season”, said the GM Jonas Vainauskas.
Lietkabelis has currently a 1-3 record in Group C of the Basketball Champions League.
