Thaddus McFadden notched 17 points in the first half leading Iberostar Tenerife to a 92-70 road win against Opava on Day 6 of Basketball Champions League.
McFadden finished with game-high 19 points (3/4 triples) along with three assists and rebounds. Sebastian Saiz followed him with a double-double of 15 points and ten rebounds while Tim Abromaitis added 12 points.
For Opava, Ludek Jurecka scored 14 in addition to Martin Gniadek’s 13 points.
Tenerife was ahead with a double-digit advantage (20-10) already midway through the first quarter eventually going on the halftime rest with a 46-38 lead.
They stepped it up a notch after the break hitting the 20-point mark (69-49) late in the third period and kept going until the end leaving no doubt about the outcome.
The Spaniards stay undefeated at the top of Group B with 6-0 while Opava holds a 1-5 record.
