Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem managed to ‘turn the tables’ against Brose Bamberg and record an 88-85 road win on Day 6 of Basketball Champions League.
James Feldeine led the winning side with 18 points and six assists while Josh Owens added 17 points and nine rebounds flirting with a double-double.
Augustine Rubit’s game-high 26 points and eight rebounds along with Stevan Jelovac’s 20 points weren’t enough for Brose Bamberg.
Bamberg had an early 22-15 lead and eventually went on the break with a small 43-41 advantage. They also had an upper hand throughout the third quarter (67-62) but Hapoel made the crucial 10-0 run early in the fourth period going ahead 76-70. The Israeli team kept the distance until the end and secured the win.
Hapoel improved to 5-1 in Group C while Brose now holds a 3-3 record.
