Amar’e Stoudemire nailed all his shots and along with Chris Johnson led Hapoel Yahav Bank Jerusalem to an 86-72 home win against Dijon on Day 7 of Basketball Champions League.
Stoudemire spent 17 minutes on the floor and scored 13 points (5/5 from the field) along with five rebounds and three assists, enough for a total value of 22. Johnson notched 17 points plus six rebounds in addition to Tamir Blatt’s 15 points.
Abdoulaye Loum scored 18 points for Dijon while Ryan Pearson added 13.
After a fairly balanced first quarter (23-20) Hapoel created some space and held a 48-39 lead at halftime and that was enough for them. They didn’t allow Dijon to come any closer and secured a win without major trouble.
Hapoel stays at the top of Group C with a 6-1 record as well as AEK while Dijon stayed at the bottom (1-6).
