Ventspils broke Sidigas Avellino with a strong fourth quarter and recorded an 88-74 road win on Day 7 of Basketball Champions League.
For Ventspils, Rihards Lomazs notched game-high 22 while Aaron Johnson helped with 16 points and eight assists. On the other side, Caleb Green and Demetris Nichols scored 16 points each.
Avellino had a 22-18 advantage after ten minutes but the lead switched sides and Ventspils was the one being ahead 46-41 at halftime.
The Italians managed to grab a small 67-65 lead at the end of the third quarter but the fourth completely belonged to Ventspils. They won the final period 23-7 and secured the win
Ventspils reached a 3-4 record in Group A while Avellino stands at 5-2.
