Coming off away wins over Sidigas Avellino and Khimki Moscow Region, Nizhny Novgorod returned to the Nagorny and overpowered Anwil, 86-62. The home team offered its share of jaw-dropping jams and enjoyed a comfortable lead throughout the Basketball Champions League Group A Round 9 match.
Christopher Czerapowicz poured 15 points, Evgeny Baburin and Artem Komolov added 14 each, Kendrick Perry orchestrated the blowout win with six points, 12 assists and four rebounds on Tuesday. Mateusz Kostrzewski scored a team-high 11 points for the Polish Champions.
Zoran Lukic’s team is now up to 5-4. The Russians dropped their opponents to 4-5 and secured the tiebreaking advantage in the process.
