Le Mans faired better in a nerve-breaking finish and recorded a 73-68 road win against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg o Day 10 of Basketball Champions League. Le Mans improved to 4-6 while Ludwigsburg stands at a 2-8 record in Group A.
Cameron Clark nailed 21 points for the victors while Michael Thompson added 13 and Richard Hendrix 11 points. For Ludwigsburg, Lamont Da’Sean Jones scored 19 in addition to Kelan Martin’s 12 points.
After a tied first quarter (15-15), Ludwigsburg went ahead in double-digits (28-17) but the guests recovered by halftime (35-32). The game stayed balanced until the very end and although the hosts held a 66-60 lead near the end, Le Mans turned the tables and won thanks to Antoine Eito’s triple (70-68) thirty seconds before the final whistle.
