Although Nizhny Novgorod bounced back from a 12-point deficit, Banvit managed to hold on for a narrow 75-72 road win on Day 11 of Basketball Champions League.
Gary Neal led the winning side with 21 points followed by McKenzie Moore’s 18 points and nine rebounds while Jordan Morgan added 11 points.
For Nizhny, Kendrick Perry scored 15 in addition to Ivan Strebkov’s 14 and Artem Komolov’s 12 points.
Banvit improved to 7-4 and secured a playoff spot while Nizhny now holds a 5-6 record in Group A with three Gamedays remaining.
