Vince Hunter was game in Lithuania too. AEK had to dig its way out of 11-point hole, but ultimately beat Lietkabelis comfortably, 84-65, in the Cido Arena.
The Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 13 game was dominated by 24-year-old Hunter. The American big was once again unstoppable making 12/13 from the field for 25 points and tied his season-high 39 efficiency performance.
Jonas Maciulis returned to Lithuania scoring 18 points in Panevezys for Luca Banchi’s team. The visitors continued their march towards the BCL playoffs improving to 11-2 with its third consecutive Group C victory.
Nenad Canak’s club dropped to 4-9 and was officially eliminated from the playoffs. Ziga Dimec started slow, but ended up with a team-high 12 points without preventing the home team’s second straight loss.
