Askia Booker scored 20 points as UCAM Murcia beat Banvit 86 – 71 and improved to 14 – 1 in the teams’ last Basketball Champions League regular season game
Murcia had already clinched first seed in Group A but thanks to this victory the Spanish team also prides on moving to the playoffs with the best regular season record in the competition.
For Banvit this defeat didn’t mean anything. The Turkish side has secured the second spot in the Group and just dropped to 9 – 6. Jordan Morgan had 17 points and D.J. Shelton.
Murcia was the superior squad from start to finish. Coach Sito Alonso’s players entered the match with a dynamic 29 – 13 partial score in the first quarter and never looked back, going up by 21, 52 – 31 at the break. Banvit outscored its opponents in the second half but couldn’t change anything in the outcome.
