Strasbourg knew beforehand that a win over Oostende won’t be solely enough. The French achieved a 100-94 overtime victory at the Versluys Dome, but Neptunas Klaipeda win in another Basketball Champions League Regular Season Group D match got them eliminated. Dario Gjergja’s side also finished its BCL campaign.
Six of Vincent Collet’s players scored over 13 points on Wednesday with Nicolas Lang leading the bunch with 18. Jarell Eddie and Ali Traore had 17 points each aiding their team complete its BCL campaign on an 8-6 W-L record.
The hosts suffered their second consecutive defeat and dropped to 7-7. An 8th victory last week or against Strasbourg would be enough to advance. However, Chase Fielder’s game-high 21 points and Nemanja Djurisic’s 20 didn’t make the cut.
