A couple of Basketball Champions League newcomers finished their Regular Season at Bologna.

Segafredo Virtus Bologna grabbed the overtime 98-91 win against Promitheas Patras at the PalaDozza on Wednesday. The Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 14 match result fixed the winners in Group D’s top spot and dropped the Greeks to a fourth-seed position ahead of February 8th draw.

Amath M’Baye posted a game-high 20 points. Pietro Aradori and Brian Qvale followed with 16 points apiece. Stefano Sacripanti’s club snapped a two-game BCL losing streak to complete the Group Stage with a 10-4 W-L record.

Dimitrios Katsivelis scored 17 points. Terell Parks notched a 16-point, 14-rebound double-double. Tony Meier forced overtime with a three-pointer adding to his 15-point performance.

Makis Giatras’ side finished Group D with two consecutive defeats and fell to 8-6, but Lefteris Mantzoukas left his mark becoming the youngest scorer in Champions League history. The 16-year-old ended up with 7 points.
