After 31 games in 2018-19 and almost five years with Nizhny Novgorod, Ilya Popov will continue his career as a member of another team. The Russian club announced on Wednesday that both sides agreed on the early termination of their contract.
The 23-year-old center averaged 4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1 assist in Basketball Champions League’s Regular Season helping his team advance to the playoffs. In both VTB United League and BCL action he averaged 5.2 points per contest.
