Although Segafredo Virtus Bologna held the lead most of the game, Le Mans stayed close and even had a chance to win but Bologna’s Yanick Moreira made a layup to set the final score a tie at 74-74.
No overtimes were played as the final aggregate score, after a home and away game, decides the winner in Basketball Champions League Round of 16 matchups. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday (13/3) in Italy.
Moreira finished the game with six points but grabbed nine boards. Amath M’Baye and Tony Taylor scored 13 points each for Bologna.
For Le Mans, Valentin Bigote had a great night with 25 points and eight rebounds while Kendrick Ray nailed 21 points.
