Telenet Giants Antwerp had as much as 17 points of lead (45-28) in the first half but UCAM Murcia bounced back and the Belgian team had to settle for a 75-67 home win in Game 1 of Basketball Champions League Round of 16.
Paris Lee led Antwerp with 21 points (16 in the first half) and five assists while Jae’Sean Tate added 13 and Ismael Bako 12 points.
For Murcia, Askia Booker scored 18 points (5-8 triples) followed by Ovie Soko’s 13 points and nine rebounds.
The next clash will be played in Spain on Wednesday (13/3) as Murcia tries to recover from an eight-point deficit in front of the home crowd.
