Two-time EuroLeague “Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy” winner Keith Langford has decided to sign a one-year deal with AEK Athens according to Eurohoops sources. With AEK, he will compete in the Basketball Champions League for the first time in his career.
Langford, 36, will remain in Greece for a second consecutive season following his 2018-2019 stint with Panathinaikos. The American guard won the Greek championship and cup titles with the “Greens”.
After completing the season with Panathinaikos, Langford said that his goal is to join a team to “go back to being me”, in regards to the unsatisfactory amount of playing time he received on the team. He averaged 19:51 minutes (10.7 points, 2.2 rebounds) in EuroLeague.
A veteran of eight EuroLeague seasons, Langford has been the top scorer of the competition twice in his career. He claimed first place in 2014 with Olimpia Milano and then in 2017 as a player of Unics Kazan.
