Janis Blums made his way back to VEF Riga following his 2016-17 stint, the Latvian club announced on Monday. The Basketball Champions League participant also added Roberts Freimanis, Lester Medford, Ron Curry and Viktors Iljins, per the press release.
Blums, 37, will make his BCL debut. “I want to enjoy the last years of my career playing in Latvia” he mentioned upon signing and added: “In front of the Latvian fans and my family.”
Aside from the additions ahead of the 2019-20 season, VEF re-signed Roberts Stumbris and Verners Kohs.
The Latvians left the VTB United League, but will still compete in the BCL and the Latvian-Estonian League.
