Ventspils added Wes Washpun, the Latvian team announced on Wednesday. The 26-year-old American point guard will return to Europe to make his Basketball Champions League comeback and his Latvian-Estonian League debut.
The Tennessee and Northern Iowa alumni kicked off his professional career in Germany with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg gaining his first BCL experience, also played in the G League with the Iowa Wolves and spent his 2018-19 season with the London City Royals.
Washpun helped the Royals finish fourth in the BBL regular season and make it to the finals of the playoffs with 16.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.8 blocks per match.
