Hapoel UNET Holon penned Malachi Richardson for the 2019-20 season including an option for the 2020-21 season in the contract, the Basketball Champions League participant announced on Monday. The Syracuse alumni will play professionally for the first time outside the NBA and the G League.
After being the 22nd pick of the 2016 NBA draft, Richardson went on to take part in 70 NBA games, 47 with the Sacramento Kings and 23 with the Toronto Raptors. Last season he averaged 1.4 points per NBA match with the Raptors, 20.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per appearance over 12 G League matches with the Raptors 905.
Aside from debuting in the BCL through Group A action, Hapoel Holon’s latest addition will help his side in the Israeli Super League as well.
