Already up 1-0 in Group B of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, RASTA Vechta coupled its wins by defeating EB Pau-Lacq-Orthez, 90-75, at the Palais des Sports de Pau.
UNC Greensboro alum Trevis Simpson added on his impressive opening week outing with 19 points including four threes. Josh Young contributed to the “W” with 14 points, 6 assists and 5 boards, Philipp Herkenhoff also scored 14 points.
Pedro Calles’ team put an 11-2 finishing note on the first half and led throughout the second blowing the game wide open in the last quarter. The visitors finished with 15 three-pointers on the road.
Laurent Vila’s side fell to 0-2 despite Travis Leslie’s game-high 22 points behind 9/15 from the field.
