Filou Oostende got its first win this season in Basketball Champions League by routing UNET Holon 101-86 at home in Group A. Oostende now holds a 1-1 record while Holon lost both games (0-2).
Shevon Thompson scored 22 points for the victors while Braian Angola added 14 and Jean-Marc Mwema 14 points. Also, the 17-year-old Keye van der Vuurst de Vries had 13 points in 14 minutes through the first three quarters.
The home squad was ahead 28-24 after ten minutes and 51-43 at halftime. They continued after the break as well and led by 15 points (80-65) at the end of the third quarter. Holon made a 12-0 run at the start of the fourth quarter (80-77) but Oostende won the rest of the game 21-9 and got the win.
